The most important material for different face masks is the melt-blown fabric. The key part for the melt-blown fabric making machine is the spinneret plate (spinneret moulds, extrusion nozzle, and Melt-blown die). The quality of the spinneret holes influences the quality of the melt-blown fabric and quality of the face masks.
In China, most of the spinneret moulds are made by the EDM drill machine. The diameter of the holes is around 0.25mm-0.35mm. But the problem is the roughness of the holes or uniformity is not good. The holes need to be polished by special extrusion grinding. The melt-blown fabric made by this kind of spinneret moulds can be used for making normal face masks, but it is not up to the requirements of a high level of protection masks.
