The Portable In-situ Micro-indentation Tester is a non-destructive online testing device based on the indentation method/indentation energy difference method. It focuses on mechanical properties and residual stress testing for energy equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, pipelines), serving third-party testing institutions and front line production units. It provides critical data support for finite element simulation, failure analysis, lifespan evaluation, and safety assessments.
The instrument is compact in structure (3-10 kg), providing great convenience for on-site online services.
Multi-functionality: The device is versatile, capable of measuring tensile/compressive stress & welding residual stress, hardness, strain hardening exponent, and yield strength. It uses non-destructive testing to assess the "inherent safety" of service equipment.
Main Differences Between Indentation Tester and Traditional Testing Methods:
Non-destructive (Traditional methods are mostly destructive tests, such as impact tests, bending tests, and tensile tests).
Versatility (Traditional testing requires a variety of testing machines to obtain the aforementioned data).
Rapid response. The indentation tester can produce test data within approximately 10 minutes, whereas traditional testing methods can take several days.
Portability. The indentation tester completes measurements directly at the equipment site, whereas traditional methods generally require returning to the laboratory to conduct various tests.
Technical Advantages:
Micro-indentation Technology | Traditional Methods
Non-destructive | Requires sample cutting
Portable & efficient | Laboratory-dependent
Multi-parameter output | Single-parameter testing
Cost-effective | High preparation costs
Supports online testing | Offline operation
